Here the basement is limestone. Many decades ago many rocks were removed for construction. This has given large galleries or troglodytes suitable for breeding wines, mushroom crops or habitats. Come discover our troglodyte cellars.

Within a troglodyte cave

After a few weeks of work, troglodytes open their doors.

When you enter the courtyard of La Cotinière, on the edge of the garden, three troglodyte cellars are unveiled in front of you. The cellar on the left has been refurbished to guarantee safety. You will find cool air and memory of rock sampling for my construction of traditional houses in the Loire Valley between Angers and Saumur.
